There are a variety of different ways to represent the same math problem. For example, 2+3=5 could be rewritten as 5=2+3 or as 2+3=6-1 or as a word problem. In this activity, students are each assigned a problem that they rewrite, then present their rewritten problem to teammates. Writing problems differently encourages divergent thinking and stretches mathematical intelligence.
