Fragments and Run-On Sentences
This set features 32 multiple-choice Fragments and Run-On Sentences quiz cards to help students identify sentence fragments and run-on sentences. To play, every student receives a Fragments and Run-On Sentences quiz card. Students then pair up with a classmate to quiz each other. For example, one student has a quiz card with the group of words “I’m going to the store to get some cheese.” The student being quizzed must identify whether that group of words is a sentence fragment, run-on sentence, or complete sentence. After quizzing both ways, coaching or praising, they trade cards and set off to quiz a new classmate with their new card. The repeated practice boosts retention of the content. Memorizing important information and concepts has never been so fun! Cards can also be used for other Kagan Structures including Fan-N-Pick, RallyQuiz, and Showdown. Instructions provided.
