Parts of Speech
This set features 32 multiple-choice Parts of Speech quiz cards to help students develop their familiarity with these parts of speech: adjective, adverb, noun, plural noun, pronoun, proper noun, and verb. To play, every student receives a Parts of Speech quiz card. Students then pair up with a classmate to quiz each other. For example, one student has a quiz card with a sentence that has the word “little” underlined. The student being quizzed must decide if the underlined word is a pronoun, adverb, adjective, or proper noun in the sentence. After quizzing both ways, coaching or praising, they trade cards and set off to quiz a new classmate with their new card. The repeated practice boosts retention of the content. Memorizing important information and concepts has never been so fun! Cards can also be used for other Kagan Structures including Fan-N-Pick, RallyQuiz, and Showdown. Instructions provided.
