Super Suffixes
This set features 96 Super Suffixes quiz cards to help your students master adding suffixes to base words, emphasizing three challenging rules: silent “e,” doubling consonants, and tricky “y.” To play, every student receives a Super Suffixes quiz card. Students then pair up with a classmate to quiz each other. For example, one student has a quiz card with the word “use” and the suffix “-able.” The student being quizzed must add the suffix to the base word and spell the new word, “usable.” After quizzing both ways, coaching or praising, they trade cards and set off to quiz a new classmate with their new card. The repeated practice boosts retention of the content. Memorizing important information and concepts has never been so fun! Cards can also be used for other Kagan Structures including Fan-N-Pick, RallyQuiz, and Showdown. Instructions provided.
