Kagan

This set features 32 Division Word Problems quiz cards to practice interpreting the remainder, deciding how it relates to the answer and what to do with it in order to solve word problems: round it, drop it, or share it. To play, every student receives a Division Word Problems quiz card. Students then pair up with a classmate to quiz each other. For example, one student has a quiz card with a word problem. “Amelia is paid by the hour for babysitting. Last week she babysat for 8 hours and made $50. How much does Amelia make each hour?” The student being quizzed must solve the problem and also state how he or she interpreted the remainder. After quizzing both ways, coaching or praising, they trade cards and set off to quiz a new classmate with their new card. The repeated practice boosts retention of the content. Memorizing important information and concepts has never been so fun! Cards can also be used for other Kagan Structures including Fan-N-Pick, RallyQuiz, and Showdown. Instructions provided.
