This set features 32 multiple-choice Order of Operations quiz cards to practice interpreting order of operations, focusing on the expression of the equation, rather than the solution. To play, every student receives an Order of Operations quiz card. Students then pair up with a classmate to quiz each other. For example, one student has a quiz card with the description “Double the difference of nine and five.” The student being quizzed must select 2 × (9 – 5) as the correct expression of the description. After quizzing both ways, coaching or praising, they trade cards and set off to quiz a new classmate with their new card. The repeated practice boosts retention of the content. Memorizing important information and concepts has never been so fun! Cards can also be used for other Kagan Structures including Fan-N-Pick, RallyQuiz, and Showdown. Instructions provided.
