This set features 64 multiple-choice Synonyms quiz cards to practice using synonyms. To play, every student receives a quiz card. Students then pair up with a classmate to quiz each other. For example, one student has a quiz card with a sentence with the word “grateful” underlined. The partner must use context clues in the sentence and his or her knowledge of synonyms to determine that the word means “thankful.” After quizzing both ways, coaching or praising, they trade cards and set off to quiz a new classmate with their new card. The repeated practice boosts retention of the content. Memorizing important information and concepts has never been so fun! Cards can also be used for other Kagan Structures including Fan-N-Pick, RallyQuiz, and Showdown. Instructions provided.
