Tricky Homophones
This set features 32 multiple-choice Tricky Homophones quiz cards to reinforce some of the more tricky frequently-used homophones. To play, every student receives a quiz card. Students then pair up with a classmate to quiz each other. For example, one student has a quiz card with the sentence “We are going to ________ house to study for the test” on it. The partner must use context clues in the sentence to determine whether the correct word for blank space is “their,” “there,” or “they’re.” After quizzing both ways, coaching or praising, they trade cards and set off to quiz a new classmate with their new card. The repeated practice boosts retention of the content. Memorizing important information and concepts has never been so fun! Cards can also be used for other Kagan Structures including Fan-N-Pick, RallyQuiz, and Showdown. Instructions provided.
