Kagan

This set features 64 multiple-choice Word Roots quiz cards to teach students many common word roots. To play, every student receives a quiz card. Students then pair up with a classmate to quiz each other. For example, one student has a quiz card with the words “transport” and “portable” on it, each with the root “port” underlined. The partner must identify if the word root means “write,” “carry,” “build,” or “shape.” After quizzing both ways, coaching or praising, they trade cards and set off to quiz a new classmate with their new card. The repeated practice boosts retention of the content. Memorizing important information and concepts has never been so fun! Cards can also be used for other Kagan Structures including Fan-N-Pick, RallyQuiz, and Showdown. Instructions provided.
