Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about less than and greater than. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “4 ___ 3.” The matching card gives the correct symbol, > greater than. Every student in class receives one card with either a less than or greater than problem or a less than or greater than symbol. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the 4 ___ 3 card and asks, “Is 4 less than or greater than 3?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with a less than symbol. He asks, “What number is less than 7?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
