Ordinal Numbers

$3.00
Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about ordinal numbers. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “5th Fifth.” The matching card has an ordinal number illustration depicting the fifth position. Every student in class receives one card with either an ordinal number or a depiction of an ordinal number. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the 5th Fifth card and asks, “What place is this on my illustration?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with an illustration of nineteenth. He asks, “What place is this?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
