Weather Vocabulary

$3.00
Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about weather vocabulary. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “Fog.” The matching card gives the definition: Thick mist or watery vapor suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth’s surface. Every student in class receives one card with either a weather vocabulary word or the definition of a weather vocabulary word. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the Fog card and asks, “What is the definition of fog?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with the definition of condensation. He asks, “What term means the conversion of gas or vapor into a liquid or (rarely) solid?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
