Inventions

$3.00
Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about inventions. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “Airplane.” The matching card gives the inventor, the Wright Brothers, and the date of the invention, 1903. Every student in class receives one card with either the name of an invention or the inventor and date of an invention. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the airplane card and asks, “Who invented the airplane and when?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with the inventor and date of an invention. He asks, “What was invented by Johann Gutenberg in 1450?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
