Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about world geography. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “I am the sea between Alaska and Russia.” The matching card gives the name of that location, Bering Sea. Every student in class receives one card with either hints about a continent, ocean, or sea or the name of a continent, ocean, or sea. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the Bering Sea card and asks, “Describe the location of the Bering Sea or show it to me on a map.” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with hints about Asia. He asks, “China, Japan, and India are located on my continent. Where am I?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
