Animal Adult and Baby Names

$3.00
Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about animal baby names. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “Dog.” The matching card gives the corresponding animal baby name, puppy. Every student in class receives one card with either the name of an adult animal or the name of a baby animal. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the Dog card and asks, “What is a dog’s baby called?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with an animal baby name. He asks, “What is the adult name for a foal?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
