Cell Anatomy

$3.00
Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about cell anatomy. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “Organelles.” The matching card gives the definition of the term: Small structures inside a cell that help carry out the day-to-day operations of the cell. Every student in class receives one card with either a cell anatomy term or the definition of a cell anatomy term. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the Organelles card and asks, “What do organelles do?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with the definition of cytoplasm. He asks, “What is the jellylike substance inside a cell that holds chemicals and nutrients called?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
