Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about ocean life. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “Sea Snail.” The matching card shows a picture of a sea snail. Every student in class receives one card with either the name of an ocean animal or a picture of an ocean animal. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the Sea Snail card and asks, “What does a sea snail look like, and where does it live?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with a picture of a dolphin. He asks, “What ocean animal is this?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
