Fire Safety

$3.00
Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about fire safety. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “Arsonist.” The matching card says, “Someone who starts fires with bad intentions.” Every student in class receives one card with either a fire safety vocabulary word or definition. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the Arsonist card and asks, “What is the definition of arsonist?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with a definition. He asks, “What word means explosive devices ignited to produce a brilliant display of light or loud noise, illegal in many areas because they pose a fire and safety hazard?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
