Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about animals. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “Giraffe.” The matching card shows a picture of a giraffe. Every student in class receives one card with either an animal name or a picture of an animal. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the Giraffe card and asks, “What does a giraffe look like, and is it a mammal, bird, reptile, or fish?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with a picture of a bear. He asks, “What animal is this and where does it live?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
