Students play an interactive quizzing game to learn about transportation. This set includes matching cards. For example, one card reads, “Motorcycle” and has an illustration of one. The matching card gives where that vehicle is used, land. Every student in class receives one card with either the name of a transportation vehicle or where a vehicle is used: land, water, or air. Students play Quiz-Quiz-Trade with their cards. The quizzing looks like this: Students put a hand up and find a partner. In the pair, one partner has the Motorcycle card and asks, “What is this vehicle and does it travel by land, water, or air?” The other partner responds. Then they quiz the other way. The other partner has a card with the location of water on it. He asks, “What is a vehicle that travels on water?” His partner responds. Students trade cards and find a new partner to quiz. After many rounds of pairing and quizzing, the teacher asks students to hurry and find their partner with their matching card. The repeated quizzing with multiple classmates makes the content super memorable. Your students have so much fun that they barely realize they’re learning!
